How long will my wig last?
Wigs can last up to a period of 6 months to 1 year depending on how often you wear the wig and how you look after it, e.g. storing, washing and general maintenance. Some people have managed to make their wigs last for a longer period of time with very careful maintenance.
The colour of the wig looks different when I have received it.
Every effort is made to ensure that we do not enhance the lighting or add filters to our photographs. We take the shots in clear daylight, but cannot guarantee that the colours will look exactly the same. If for example, you are looking at the photographs from a mobile device, it may look a slightly different colour when you look at it again on another screen monitor. We take our own photographs of our wigs that are in stock. It is best to read the colours in the description. Sometimes, you will need to take the wig out of the bag and look at it in normal daylight, to get a true reflection of the colour.
How often do I need to wash the wig?
If you are wearing your wig on a daily basis, you will need to refresh it or wash it more often. Always wash in the wig is cool water. We do not advise to wash your wigs with regular shampoo, this is because most shampoo will contain sulfates and this dries out the wig. Both synthetic wigs and human hair wigs have a tendency to become dry, so you should try to avoid adding products that will contribute to making the wig dry out further. You can get a good result from washing your wig with a conditioner instead.
My wig looks shiny
Some wigs particularly Cosplay and some synthetic wigs are shiny. To combat this, use dry shampoo and spray it all over the wig. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then brush it out. Dry shampoo takes out the shine.
Matting and Tangling
It is impossible to avoid matting and tangling with wigs. Normally the wig will start to tangle and matt at the nape area of your neck. This is due to the amount of head movement. The longer the wig the more likely it is to tangle. Store your wig correctly each night and add some moisture to the area that is matting. Do not pull at the area and use a wide tooth comb to get rid of any knots.
Can I wear my wig straight out of the bag?
It is easier to wear a non-lace front wig straight out of the bag although even these kind of wigs need adjusting. Lace front wigs will need some work on them to look natural, whether it is a human hair wig or synthetic wig, you will want your hairline to look as though the hair is growing from your scalp. Spend a little time working on this area to get a great result and be patient. You will need to play around with the wig to get it to look just right. Many people think that they can put the wig on as it is, but in truth many customers work hard on their wigs to make them look as real and natural as possible.
